The Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Innovation FS competition is a grant funding opportunity delivered by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). It aims to support feasibility studies that explore new ways to make UK manufacturing supply chains more resource efficient and resilient by addressing critical cross-cutting challenges affecting multiple sectors.
Up to £5 million in grant funding is available to UK-registered businesses and research and technology organisations (RTOs) to undertake projects that analyse and validate early-stage ideas, technologies or business models that could improve supply chain performance at scale.
This competition specifically targets cross-sector innovation projects must align with at least two of the UK Government’s high-growth sectors. (such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, defence, digital & technologies or life sciences) or two advanced manufacturing frontier industries. The focus is on generating insights that can strengthen industrial competitiveness and support sustainable growth in the UK’s manufacturing base.
Projects must be feasibility studies, lasting up to nine months, with eligible grant requests between £50,000 and £100,000. Successful proposals will provide evidence and clarity to inform future development, investment or scaling decisions for innovations that can deliver long-term supply chain improvements.
