Overview
The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) is a €500 million Irish government programme that supports collaborative research and development of disruptive, market-transforming technologies. Managed by Enterprise Ireland, the fund targets projects that involve industry–research partnerships and focus on delivering significant economic and societal impact across priority areas like health, climate, energy, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing.
Eligibility
Applicant Requirements
Collaborators must be based in Ireland and must be clients of Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta, or eligible Research Performing Organisations (RPOs).
Consortium Structure
Must include a minimum of three independent partners seeking DTIF funding.
Must feature at least one SME and one other enterprise (which can be an SME or larger company).
Research partners (e.g. universities) may be included but are not counted as enterprises.
Research Scope
Projects must involve Industrial Research and/or Experimental Development, corresponding to TRL levels 3–9.
Must lead to tangible disruptive impact—such as new business models, products, services, or altered markets.
