Award: Share of up to £1.1 million

Programme: Innovate UK

Closing date: 3 November 2025

Overview

Innovate UK will invest up to £1.1 million in innovative feasibility studies aimed at driving the UK’s materials and manufacturing sectors toward being net zero, resource-efficient, resilient, and technologically advanced. • Theme 1: Resource efficient and sustainable materials & manufacturing — e.g. using bio-based feedstocks, designing for resource efficiency, supply chain resilience, circular reuse, and advanced manufacturing methods.
  • Theme 2: Seaweed processing — e.g. testing new or modified processing technologies, improving yield or value of products from UK-harvested/cultivated algae.

Projects must target lab-scale, small-volume testing or R&D.
