Overview
This call invites radical innovations in devices or systems that convert waste (organic, plastic, etc.) into high-value products or intermediates. The focus is on integrated, device-centric solutions that combine sensing, catalysis, separation, and conversion in compact systems. Projects should aim for breakthrough leaps rather than incremental improvements, enabling waste streams to feed directly into production in a more efficient, decentralised, and sustainable way.
Eligibility
- Proposals must focus on device-level innovations (not just processes).
- Open to legal entities under Horizon Europe / EIC rules.
- Must propose novel, non-incremental solutions.
- Should integrate multiple functionalities (e.g. sensing + conversion + separation) in one device.
- Must show potential for high-value outputs from waste feedstocks.
- Must demonstrate a clear technology pathway and market relevance.
