EIT boosts innovation by increasing the collaboration between business, education and research organisations, public authorities and civil society.

To achieve this, EIT supports the development of dynamic pan-European partnerships called EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) with established KICs:
  • EIT Climate KIC: accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon economy
  • EIT InnoEnergy KIC: achieving a sustainable energy future for Europe
  • EIT Digital: driving Europe’s digital transformation
  • EIT Health: providing EU citizens greater opportunities to enjoy a healthy life
  • EIT Raw materials: developing raw materials as a major strength for Europe
  • EIT Food:leading a global revolution in food and production
  • EIT Urban mobility: developing smart, green and integrated urban transport
  • EIT Manufacturing: strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of Europe’s manufacturing industry.

Who can apply?

Generally, to be eligible to apply an applicant will need to be legally incorporated entity in one of the EU or Horizon Europe eligible countries for a minimum of 12 months of business activity.
